How Industrial Decor for Less Came to Be...
My name is Tracey Jade Boyer. I am a regular suburban housewife living in the mid west. I love crafts and decorating, and ever since I saw the first pictures of industrial chic decor, I have absolutely loved it! It was not long until I decided to redecorate my home in this motif. I was so excited!
Unfortunately my excitement kind of cooled when I started checking the prices. I have been suffering from sticker shock ever since. I kept wondering why everything was so expensive! There did not seem to be any reason for it, other than it was a very hot trend in interior decorating. I wondered how I could get my dreams of a chic, industrial home off the ground for the budget I had. So I sat down and put my thinking cap on.
I ran through several ideas but none of them offered the kind of savings I needed to make my decorating budget work. Then one day I was shopping on Amazon for a gift for my husband. I saw a work bench that was basically identical to a table I had seen on Dot & Bo. They wanted $1049 for this table. Amazon's work bench was $279. I was stunned! I immediately started wondering what other "real" tool items would work as industrial decor. I started looking and finding more and more stuff that was so much less expensive than the trendy store counterparts, it was insane!
I was so impressed that I made a little page on WebNuggetz on some of my favorite pieces that I found. The page is called How to Get Industrial Chic Furniture for Less however, when I got done with the page, I knew that I have to make an entire website for this amazing idea. I want others to know that there are cheaper alternatives to paying a fortune for fabulous industrial chic decor. Thus IndustrialDecorforLess.com was born. At first I will be concentrating on Amazon deals, but I will be adding stuff from other sites in the future, so make sure to check back often!
